The Unified Housing Strategy Survey

Nashville’s Unified Housing Strategy (UHS) is a bold, community-driven plan designed to address Nashville’s most pressing housing challenges through a unified and coordinated approach. The strategy aims to ensure that every resident, regardless of income or background, has access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. The UHS provides core strategies and related actions designed to unify and strengthen the capacity, resources, and programs across Nashville-Davidson County.

In the summer of 2024, community members shared their housing experiences through a survey and listening sessions. Key stakeholders such as legal experts, developers, nonprofits, and financial institutions provided input through interviews and roundtables. This community-driven input, combined with comprehensive housing data and market analysis, shaped a strategy rooted in both evidence and experience.

The Unified Housing Strategy, Executive Summary, and 10-Year Implementation Plan are available for review online at Nashville.gov/UHS through May 30, 2025.  We invite all Nashvillians to share your feedback on the Unified Housing Strategy. Please take a few moments to share your initial thoughts by answering the questions below. Survey responses will be accepted through May 30, 2025.
